Overview
The Rush Lake Alpine Trek is a spectacular high-altitude adventure into the remote mountain landscapes of Nagar Valley and the surrounding Karakoram. The journey takes trekkers through traditional villages, lush forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountain trails and remote high-altitude terrain before reaching the magnificent Rush Lake at approximately 4,694m. As one of Pakistan’s highest alpine lakes, Rush Lake offers an extraordinary setting surrounded by some of the most impressive peaks of the Karakoram. Along the route, trekkers experience the natural beauty and cultural character of the region while gradually gaining altitude through diverse mountain environments. The trek also provides an optional opportunity to climb Rush Peak at approximately 5,098m, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Spantik, Malubiting, Miar Peak and other surrounding Karakoram giants. After exploring the high-altitude landscapes, the route descends through scenic valleys before returning to Hunza and Islamabad.
