Overview

The Gasherbrum I Expedition, also known as Hidden Peak, is a demanding high-altitude mountaineering adventure to the summit of Gasherbrum I at 8,080m in Pakistan’s mighty Karakoram Range. The expedition begins with the approach through the remote valleys of Baltistan, following the legendary Baltoro Glacier toward Concordia, where some of the world’s highest peaks create an extraordinary mountain panorama. From Concordia, the route continues toward Gasherbrum Base Camp, where climbers begin the technical phase of the expedition. The ascent involves multiple acclimatization rotations and progressive movement through higher camps, allowing climbers to adapt to the extreme altitude before attempting the summit. Above Base Camp, the team faces steep snow and ice, harsh weather, strong winds, crevasses and the severe physical demands of climbing above 7,000m. Gasherbrum I requires excellent physical fitness, previous high-altitude mountaineering experience, technical skills, careful acclimatization and strong teamwork.
