Overview

The Kharmang Valley Escape is a three-day journey through one of eastern Baltistan’s most beautiful and naturally diverse regions. Stretching along the Indus River, Kharmang is known for its green villages, orchards, flowing streams, dramatic mountain walls and spectacular waterfalls. Explore the peaceful landscapes of the valley and experience the traditional lifestyle of communities that have lived among these mountains for generations. One of the highlights of the journey is Manthoka Waterfall, where cascading water drops through a dramatic rocky landscape surrounded by greenery and mountains. The journey also includes an opportunity to visit Khamosh Waterfall, explore traditional Balti villages and enjoy the riverside landscapes of the Indus. With opportunities for photography, short walks, traditional food and interaction with local communities, this three-day escape offers a relaxed introduction to the quieter and more authentic side of Gilgit-Baltistan.
